AWS Solution Architect
Job Summary
Owning the technical architecture and cloud infrastructure, the full-time AWS Solution Architect will manage the CMS Drug Data Processing System and Payment Reconciliation System, ensuring compliance with CMS standards while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee DDPS/PRS technical architecture, cloud infrastructure design, and DevSecOps pipeline, ensuring alignment with CMS Technical Reference Architecture and security standards
- Architect and maintain the full CMS AWS environment, including multi-AZ VPC topology and various AWS services across Production and Non-Production VPCs
- Support CMS AI/ML initiatives and ensure high-availability architecture for a system processing millions of transactions daily
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 10+ years in solution or enterprise architecture with 5+ years on AWS
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification or equivalent AWS expertise
- Hands-on experience with the DDPS data platform stack, including Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and Databricks
- Deep expertise in AWS compute services and experience with AWS messaging and orchestration services
- Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with CMS TRA, ARS, FISMA, and NIST standards in a federal cloud environment
