Job Summary
To support a DoD program, the fully remote AWS Technical Writer will create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for a complex IT environment, collaborating with engineers and system administrators to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain various technical documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and API documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather information and verify documentation accuracy
- Document system configurations, deployment procedures, and operational workflows while ensuring version control
Required qualifications
- 7-9 years of experience in producing technical documentation for IT systems or software development
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and UNIX/Linux command-line operations
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, and general knowledge of the AWS ecosystem
- Experience with version control systems like Git and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
