AWS Technical Writer

Job Summary

To support a DoD program, the fully remote AWS Technical Writer will create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for a complex IT environment, collaborating with engineers and system administrators to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including user guides, SOPs, and API documentation
• Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy
• Document system configurations and operational workflows while maintaining version-controlled documentation

Required qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience producing technical documentation for IT systems or software development
• Experience documenting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and system administration procedures
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and hands-on documentation experience with EC2
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint
• Active Top Secret clearance required
