Job Summary

Seeking an expert Azerbaijani Audio Transcriber for a remote, part-time position, responsible for converting audio recordings of native speakers into precise written transcripts while applying expert linguistic judgment and adhering to project-specific style guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned written text following specific style guides
• Apply conventions for speaker identification, disfluencies, and non-speech events during transcription
• Engage with QA reviewers and self-review submissions to ensure quality and accuracy

Required qualifications

• Native fluency in Azerbaijani with deep immersion in the relevant dialect region
• Mastery of the appropriate orthography for the Northern or Southern variety
• At least two years of professional experience in transcription or related fields
• Ability to distinguish between North and South Azerbaijani in mixed audio
• Comfortable with web-based annotation platforms and variable-speed audio playback
