Azure APIM Technical Architect

Job Summary

Providing architectural leadership for a large-scale Azure API Management (APIM) platform, the full-time Technical Architect - Azure APIM will define and govern API architecture standards, security frameworks, and integration patterns while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure Azure API Management solutions, ensuring high availability and performance
• Evaluate existing APIM architectures, identify gaps, and recommend improvements and roadmaps
• Lead architecture workshops and guide best practices for API governance and lifecycle management

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, integration, or cloud architecture
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Azure API Management solutions
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure API Management and Microsoft Entra ID
• Strong understanding of API security, governance frameworks, and lifecycle management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
