Azure Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Security Engineer for a remote, contract position focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise cloud security controls across Microsoft Azure, including security assessments and collaboration with platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure landing zone security controls, including identity, networking, and private endpoints
• Configure and optimize Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and related security tools
• Perform Cloud Security Posture Management assessments and recommend remediation plans

Required Qualifications

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Security Engineering
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure security services, including Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Bicep
• Knowledge of Azure IAM, networking, encryption, and cloud-native security best practices
• Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification
