Azure Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the implementation and management of enterprise cloud security initiatives, the contract-to-hire Azure Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls in a fully remote Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the organization's cloud security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Microsoft Azure cloud environments
• Analyze and monitor cloud cybersecurity policies and compliance requirements
• Lead the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture across cloud infrastructure and applications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or cloud security engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and related security practices
• Experience configuring and administering Azure security services
