Azure Mainframe Migration Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Azure Mainframe Migration Engineer will design, deploy, and manage secure Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on converting legacy mainframe batch jobs into automated PowerShell-based workflows while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert legacy mainframe batch jobs (JCL) into PowerShell scripts and automate batch cycles using Azure-native tools
• Deploy and manage Azure resources to support batch workloads, ensuring performance and cost-efficiency
• Implement logging and monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of batch processes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in PowerShell scripting and automation
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure services and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of mainframe JCL, batch job scheduling, and automation
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
