Azure Migration Project Manager

Job Summary

To support a significant Azure migration initiative, the full-time contract Azure Migration Project Manager will lead the project, collaborating with developers and various stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of SQL databases to Azure in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Azure migration project, overseeing the transition of on-prem SQL servers to Azure Cloud
• Communicate and collaborate with IT, League and club users, and developers on daily production issues
• Manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders to facilitate the migration process

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in managing Azure migration projects, specifically with SQL databases
• Strong understanding of Azure SQL Managed Instance, VMs, and Azure Blob Storage
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL transactional replication
• Experience working with Azure Analysis Services and SQL SSIS/SSRS/SSAS
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders
