Job Summary
Serving as the highest-level technical authority for cloud architecture, the full-time remote Azure Principal Cloud Engineer will design, govern, and optimize cloud infrastructure while mentoring teams and leading complex cloud initiatives from design through delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage a secure Azure cloud environment and establish cloud governance standards
- Lead cloud infrastructure projects end-to-end, including migration strategies and post-deployment operations
- Mentor Systems Administration and Information Security teams, building organizational cloud competency through knowledge transfer
Required qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering, with 5 years at a senior or principal level in Microsoft Azure
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking and security services, including hub-spoke topology and RBAC
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Azure Bicep) and CI/CD pipeline tooling
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- AZ-104, AZ-700, and AZ-305 certifications are required; AZ-400 is strongly preferred
