Azure SQL Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a senior-level Azure SQL Customer Engineer for a remote contract position, who will architect and modernize SQL Server environments, manage performance tuning and high availability solutions, and engage with stakeholders to deliver optimized data platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize SQL Server environments, including migrations to Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions while troubleshooting and optimizing SQL performance
- Act as a trusted advisor, leading architecture discussions and solution design sessions with technical and business teams
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with SQL Server, including both on-premises and Azure environments
- Strong expertise in performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Proven experience with migrations and upgrades to Azure SQL services
- Familiarity with Azure security and compliance measures
- Experience in client-facing roles, providing advisory services
