Azure SysOps Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, an Azure SysOps Architect will implement and operate Azure infrastructure using Bicep, ensure security and scalability, and support cloud cost optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implements Azure infrastructure and drives automation of monitoring and remediation workflows
• Participates in incident response and provides tier-3/4 support for critical infrastructure services
• Produces technical assessments and documentation, ensuring standards and providing management recommendations

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of Bicep experience or equivalent infrastructure code experience with at least 1 year of Bicep
• Strong Azure infrastructure knowledge, particularly in networking and application security
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and/or Terraform) and automating operational tasks
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and managing App Services and Azure SQL Databases
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tooling such as Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy
