Back End Developer

Job Summary

To support innovative AI infrastructure projects, the remote freelance Back End Developer will design, build, and maintain robust server-side services and APIs, optimizing systems for AI workloads and collaborating asynchronously with distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable back end services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability as usage increases
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product leaders on architectural decisions and code reviews

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more back end languages such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
