Backend Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Data Engineer (Remote Contract).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses for analytics and business intelligence
• Develop ETL ecosystem tools using technologies such as Python, External APIs, Airbyte, Snowflake, dbt, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Amazon S3
• Assist the engineering team with database design, data flows, and the development of best practices and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer
• Expert-level understanding of SQL-based database design and usage
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Professional experience in high-volume ETL systems
• Experience working with engineering peers, project managers, and business stakeholders
