Backend Data Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a team of talented developers, the full-time Backend Data Engineer will design and develop core data platform components, build scalable services for data integration, and contribute to product functionality enhancements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core data platform components for business process orchestration and workflows
• Build scalable, resilient services to support data integration and event processing
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product goals into actionable engineering plans

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in any back-end language, such as Go, Java, or Python
• Experience moving and storing TBs of data or hundreds of millions of records
• Understanding of distributed systems and building scalable, redundant services
• Expertise in architecting messaging systems and distributed data stores
• Experience building solutions on public cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP
