Backend Developer

Job Summary

Building reliable APIs and financial product infrastructure, the full-time Backend Developer will design and implement backend services for a remote team focused on BJAK's AI Neobank app, ensuring high-quality performance and scalability across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Build backend services and APIs for various financial processes including onboarding, payments, and transfers
• Design systems that support customer transactions and operational workflows while integrating with internal and external platforms
• Ensure backend quality across reliability, security, and data integrity while collaborating with product and engineering teams

Required qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience in production systems
• Good understanding of APIs, databases, and integrations
• Experience building services used by real customers at meaningful scale
• Strong debugging and data quality mindset
• Fintech or related industry experience is a plus, but strong fundamentals are essential
