Backend Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Backend Developer will design, develop, and deploy critical backend services for web applications while collaborating with project management, data scientists, and other developers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance backend services for web applications
• Create and maintain build and deployment automation code, as well as test code for developed software
• Document software features and perform self and peer reviews of code and design documentation

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in backend web development using current industry technologies
• Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and professional software engineering practices
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design with JavaScript, Java, Python, and/or C#
• Experience building backend applications using NodeJS with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with REST API development and testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
