Backend Development Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of backend developers in a fully remote environment, the Backend Development Team Lead will oversee technical direction, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality project delivery while balancing hands-on development with leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers working primarily with PHP and Golang
• Participate in defining coding standards, code reviews, and architectural guidelines to ensure code quality
• Drive improvements in development workflows, Agile practices, and team alignment with project goals

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong expertise in PHP (7.4+) and frameworks such as Symfony
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable backend systems and microservices
• Proficiency with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and CI/CD pipelines
