Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Founding Backend Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and build backend infrastructure using Python (FastAPI) and manage APIs for iOS applications
• Integrate AI and ML systems, including managing vector databases and building pipelines with LangChain
• Design emotion-aware systems that adapt to user states and collaborate with product and AI teams for personalization

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development
• Experience in shipping production backends at high-growth early-stage startups
• Proficient in Python and modern infrastructure, with experience migrating legacy systems
• Familiarity with LLM-based products, particularly in emotion, memory, or personalization
• Strong systems thinking and ability to build resilient infrastructure
