Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer, Inference.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, extend, maintain, and scale Inference systems and production APIs for image and video processing
• Improve the Workflows Execution Engine and integrate new vision model capabilities
• Diagnose and debug issues across Python services and JavaScript/TypeScript related to the inference product

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience building production software in Python
• Comfortable contributing in JavaScript/TypeScript as needed
• Strong engineering mindset with a focus on modular code, tests, and CI/CD
• Functional literacy in AI/ML concepts; familiarity with computer vision concepts is a bonus
• Experience working in startups or high-ownership roles, comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity
