Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer to enhance its platform's backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions by building new functionality on the existing backend stack
• Produce well-documented, testable, and maintainable code to support rapid iteration
• Collaborate with other engineers to refine development tooling and processes

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with any JVM language, preferably Scala
• Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
• Strong knowledge of transport protocols, including RESTful concepts, gRPC, and WebSockets
• Self-starter attitude with a passion for solving customer problems
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements in a rapidly scaling environment
