Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer - Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the monorepo migration by building and evolving core tooling and infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance internal platforms during the transition away from legacy systems
• Design and implement reliable backend systems, primarily in Java, and lead smaller technical initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Experience building backend systems in modern programming languages such as Java
• Familiarity with infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud-native environments like Google Cloud Platform or Kubernetes
• Ability to independently drive technical problems from design through implementation
• Understanding of the impact of technical decisions on the broader engineering organization
• A collaborative approach prioritizing squad success over individual recognition
