Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a large federal government healthcare technology project, the full-time Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in a 100% remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams within an Agile framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and enterprise integration components for mission-critical applications
• Implement business logic and data access layers to support product functionality and workflow requirements
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevSecOps teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend software engineering or enterprise application development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and API development principles
• Experience with SQL and relational database technologies
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government clearance
