Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a partner studio, the remote Backend Engineer will prototype and build cloud-based microservices, develop new services, and provide general support for live features and releases.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype and build cloud-based microservices in the backend
• Develop new services and author software design documents
• Work closely with partners to provide and receive technical feedback

Required qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional experience using Go to write high-performance applications
• At least one (1) year of professional experience with C++
• Proficiency with scalable non-relational database solutions (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
• Ability to navigate and integrate with one or more cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Willingness to prioritize player experiences over personal code and ego
