Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Go, the full-time position focuses on extending APIs, enhancing developer experience, and working on auxiliary services, with the flexibility to work remotely or in New York City.

Key responsibilities

• Extend the API written in Go to improve reliability and scalability using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker client packages
• Enhance the developer experience by adding features to the CLI based on cobra and viper
• Implement a custom Kubernetes controller and contribute to auxiliary services written in Go

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in backend development with Go
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm APIs is preferred
• Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
• Strong understanding of code quality and engineering best practices
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced startup environment
