Job Summary
To support a growing client in the technology industry, the fully remote Backend Engineer will develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs while leveraging Python or Go in Linux-based environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for critical business applications
- Design and optimize software solutions in collaboration with infrastructure and platform teams
- Troubleshoot complex application and system issues to enhance reliability and scalability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience in production environments
- Strong programming experience with Python or Go
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and routing protocols
- Experience with Linux systems programming and operating system internals
- Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
