Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support an innovative organization in network simulation and virtualization, the fully remote Backend Engineer will build and enhance backend infrastructure, develop scalable services, and create automation tools for complex networking environments on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and support backend applications for provisioning and managing virtual networking environments
- Develop and maintain high-performing RESTful APIs for network simulation automation
- Create automation tools that support infrastructure-as-code workflows and improve platform reliability
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional backend software development experience
- Strong programming experience with Python and/or Go
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems and virtualization technologies
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP and network protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
