Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Building and enhancing core services of an Azure-based data lakehouse platform, the full-time Backend Engineer will design APIs and data services, develop data integrations, and write secure code while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the data platform
- Develop and optimize data integrations that bring firm data into the lakehouse
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and collaborate on technical alignment with engineering, product, and customer teams
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of backend software engineering experience
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, .NET, or Node.js
- Experience building and consuming REST or similar APIs
- Solid SQL and data modeling fundamentals
- Familiarity with a major cloud platform (Azure preferred), Docker, and CI/CD
