Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support cloud-native application development, the contract Backend Engineer will design, build, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs while contributing to architecture decisions and production support in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native backend services and APIs
- Build and maintain business logic, orchestration services, and event-driven architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and deliver scalable solutions
Required qualifications
- Strong backend development experience with Java, Python, .NET/C#, Node.js, or TypeScript
- Experience with API-first development, RESTful services, and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Knowledge of containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience supporting production systems and performance optimization
