Job Summary
To support the Identity and Access Management team, the remote Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable systems for user identity, authentication, and authorization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Reddit's IAM vision.
Key responsibilities
- Steer high leverage projects that align with Reddit's goals
- Build a more performant and scalable architecture around IAM
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Reddit Engineering
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems
- Experience in IAM, specifically in authorization or authentication
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages, preferably Go
- Familiarity with essential cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, or GCP
- High empathy and excellent communication skills for collaboration
