Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated full-time Backend Engineer to work remotely, contributing to the development of Tailscale's product by managing the entire product lifecycle, collaborating with UX/UI designers, and enhancing backend services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and document core software components as part of an engineering team
- Develop product features related to the control plane, relay infrastructure, and identity integrations
- Ensure observability and stability of running services, participating in incident response and customer support escalations
Required Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems
- Proficiency in the Go programming language
- Familiarity with one or more SQL databases
- Understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing and routing
