Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the development and maintenance of data pipelines, the full-time remote Backend Engineer will design and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability and security while collaborating with product teams to deliver reliable systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for various Techstars systems
- Own and evolve Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including deployment tooling and cluster health
- Partner with security engineers on infrastructure reliability and proactive improvements
Required qualifications
- Solid experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Strong Python skills for data engineering and automation
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tooling
