Backend Engineer - Kubernetes
Job Summary
As a Backend Engineer - Kubernetes, the full-time remote position will design and build software for a cloud platform, focusing on Kubernetes-native infrastructure, including Operators and Controllers, to manage distributed data systems at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop Kubernetes Operators and Controllers using Go and controller-runtime
- Build automation for provisioning, upgrading, and managing distributed systems on Kubernetes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilities and improve software reliability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure software development
- Strong programming skills in Go (preferred) or Java
- Experience developing Kubernetes Operators and understanding Kubernetes architecture
- Hands-on experience with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and reconciliation loops
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
