Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer for a Utility VPP.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain the company's API connecting energy service partners to consumer IoT devices
Establish and meet KPIs and SLOs for the energy partner service
Create and update API documentation, and work directly with energy partners to resolve technical challenges

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of experience building backend software services
Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience
Experience with B2B APIs, cloud-based systems, and serverless architectures
Experience with event-driven systems and modern API frameworks
Experience in the electric power industry is a bonus
