Backend Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and evolving the core control plane and Kubernetes layer, the full-time Backend Infrastructure Engineer will design and build APIs and services for deploying, managing, and scaling data pipelines in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve control-plane services that orchestrate pipelines across diverse customer environments
• Develop and enhance the Kubernetes layer for reliable resource management and self-hosted deployment workflows
• Build and harden enterprise-grade capabilities for security, isolation, and access control

Required qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Rust or comparable systems programming experience (C++, Go) with a quick ability to ramp on Rust
• Experience in building backend services, APIs, and distributed systems in production
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including writing controllers/operators or designing reliable services
• Familiarity with authentication, SSO, multi-tenancy, and enterprise software security considerations
• Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort in containerized environments (Docker)
