Backend Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support an external software development organization, the remote Backend Platform Engineer will design, build, and operate core services for an enterprise AI platform, collaborating with client product, engineering, data, and platform stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integration frameworks for the AI platform
- Own services end-to-end, including testing, deployment, reliability, and support
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure service quality and alignment with user needs
Required qualifications
- Experience building and operating production backend, API, or distributed platform services
- Strong software engineering skills with a focus on reliable and maintainable services
- Familiarity with AI gateways, orchestration, and multi-tenant systems
- Ability to design APIs for both internal and external consumers
- Experience owning services through all stages of development and support
