Job Summary

To build secure APIs and backend services, the contract Backend Python Engineer will work remotely, focusing on developing Python-based systems and enterprise data access solutions while collaborating with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services and REST APIs for secure enterprise integrations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support data access initiatives and scalable backend systems
• Contribute to evolving AI-enabled engineering workflows and potential ETL workflows using tools like Airflow and DBT

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
