Backend Python Engineer

Job Summary

To build secure APIs and backend services, the contract Backend Python Engineer will develop Python-based systems and enable scalable access to enterprise data platforms while collaborating within a hybrid/remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services and REST APIs for secure enterprise integrations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support data access initiatives and scalable backend systems
• Contribute to evolving AI-enabled engineering workflows and potentially expand into ETL workflows and data transformations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong Python development experience with REST API and backend service construction
• Experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
• Experience working with secure enterprise systems and data access
