Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) to develop and scale API services in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend service components using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs ensuring HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and data engineers to enhance user experiences and backend applications

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline with 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, or 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proven expertise with TypeScript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Strong understanding of software architecture best practices and backend optimization techniques
