Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to enhance and modernize their core platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using modern Python frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and participate in code reviews
• Troubleshoot application and system issues, ensuring performance, reliability, and security standards are met

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing production-grade backend web applications and services with strong Python expertise
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and experience in schema design and query development
• Experience working with geospatial data and spatial databases, including implementing location-based queries
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and experience supporting applications during infrastructure or cloud migration efforts
• Understanding of secure coding practices, authentication, and authorization patterns
