Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will build tools and automation for managing employment compliance, integrate APIs, and design new features while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build tools and automation to help users manage employment compliance
• Integrate APIs and develop data pipelines to support applications and partners
• Design and implement new features while collaborating closely with the founding team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• Expertise in Python, Postgres, SQLAlchemy, FastApi, and mypy
• Experience working at a startup or leading a new project from scratch
• Strong technical ability combined with a deep understanding of product development
• Ability to solve novel problems and think critically about solutions
