Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will design and build data models, services, and APIs while enhancing existing finance infrastructure and scaling systems in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Stakeholders to develop new features for the product
• Maintain and enhance existing finance infrastructure, including Loan Tape and Ledger
• Analyze, debug, and resolve performance and correctness issues in the systems

Required qualifications

• 2.5+ years of industry experience, preferably in fintech or startup sectors
• Proficiency in CS fundamentals and professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Mastery of object-oriented programming principles
• Strong adaptability to changing project needs in a startup environment
• Upper-intermediate level of written and spoken English for effective communication
