Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and developing reliable backend services, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will independently manage projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the scalability and maintainability of backend solutions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies
- Own backend features and projects throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring effective monitoring and ongoing maintenance
- Collaborate with various teams to translate business and technical requirements into secure and scalable solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or approximately 3+ years with an advanced degree
- Strong professional experience developing production backend applications using Java and common Java frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment technologies such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
