Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Backend Software Engineer II will contribute to scaling Bubble's infrastructure, enhance backend service performance and reliability, and support observability efforts across core systems.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the infrastructure that scales to accommodate numerous applications of varying size and complexity
• Improve performance and reliability across backend services while managing efficiency and capacity
• Participate in the triage and on-call process to diagnose and resolve issues effectively

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, preferably in high-growth startups
• Strong coding skills with familiarity in languages and tools such as Node.js, Rust, PostgreSQL, and Terraform
• Understanding of scalable distributed systems and a willingness to learn
• Demonstrated ownership mindset and initiative in building and fixing systems
