Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a cutting-edge Command & Control platform, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will architect and build real-time distributed systems for coordinating large drone swarms, working remotely with a focus on high-throughput telemetry and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Help architect the backend for a C2 system directing swarms of heterogeneous aircraft
- Build distributed, collaborative real-time infrastructure for controlling multiple aircraft simultaneously
- Own backend features end to end, from design through deployment, ensuring strong CI/CD and QA practices
Required qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 6+ years building complex backend systems with real distributed systems depth
- Experience operating production backend services and APIs at scale
- Strong instincts for reliability, performance, and scalability
- Familiarity with real-time and event-driven distributed systems
