Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and building scalable backend services, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop APIs and capabilities that enable users to create, configure, test, and deploy, while primarily working remotely with occasional office visits.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and UX teams to create intuitive product experiences
- Build services that securely interact with enterprise applications, APIs, and external services
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4-7 years of professional software engineering experience with backend applications and services
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages and associated frameworks
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
