Backend Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a remote engineering team, the full-time Backend Team Lead will oversee technical direction, mentor developers, and ensure high-quality delivery while actively participating in hands-on development using PHP (Symfony) and Golang.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and supporting professional growth
• Define and maintain coding standards and architectural guidelines while participating in planning and technical decision-making
• Develop and maintain backend services, optimize existing systems, and troubleshoot production issues

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience with strong expertise in PHP and Symfony
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and microservices
• Proficiency with SQL databases and Git-based workflows
• Conversational English level
