Backend Team Lead

Job Summary

To drive the development of an AI-powered platform, the full-time Backend Team Lead will manage a small backend team, focusing on execution, team performance, and technical leadership while working remotely across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the backend team in execution, including task decomposition, estimation, and prioritization
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services and refine platform architecture to meet evolving project needs
• Ensure system observability and reliability through metrics, tracing, and monitoring while adapting to shifting priorities

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building and shipping production software
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with asynchronous Python in production environments
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a strong technical background
• Experience designing complex distributed systems and platform-level infrastructure
• Practical experience with LLMs and agentic AI frameworks, along with a solid understanding of the AI ecosystem
