Backend Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a small backend team, the full-time Backend Team Lead will drive execution, manage integrations with third-party services, and develop an internal LLM agent framework while working remotely across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the backend team in execution, decomposition, estimation, and prioritization of tasks
• Continuously assess team performance and adjust team composition to ensure delivery without disruption
• Develop and refine platform architecture to meet evolving project needs, ensuring system observability and reliability

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building and shipping production software
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with asynchronous Python in production environments
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a focus on technical execution
• Strong background in designing complex distributed systems and high-scale backend architectures
• Practical experience with LLMs and a solid understanding of the AI ecosystem and engineering best practices
