Backend Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a small backend team, the full-time Backend Team Lead will own the execution of platform services, focusing on building scalable systems and integrating third-party services while working remotely across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the backend team in execution, including decomposition, estimation, and prioritization of tasks
• Develop and maintain the internal LLM agent framework with an emphasis on scalability and throughput
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on architecture and integrations while ensuring system observability and reliability

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building and shipping production software
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with asynchronous Python in production environments
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a strong technical background
• Experience designing complex distributed systems or high-scale backend architectures
• Practical knowledge of LLMs and agentic AI frameworks, along with an understanding of the AI ecosystem
